About Me
Hi there, I’m Cara.
I’m the bird-brained artist behind Farm and Finch. I started watching and drawing birds as a kid, decades later I still haven’t figured out how to stop. I run a one-woman design and art studio nestled in the pine forest of Bend, Oregon.
The Bread and Butter: graphic design.
Specifically, collegiate apparel graphics design. Since 2013 I have designed screen-print and embroidery graphics for hundreds of schools. From Ohio State to University of Oregon and many schools between, I’ve kitted fans out with graphics in nearly as many styles as there are schools. Vintage and hand-illustrated graphics are my specialty. Working in the apparel industry has landed my art all over the country, from tiny college bookstores, to major retailers such as Fanatics and JC Penney. If you’re looking for an experienced, freelance apparel graphics design pro to add to your team, give me a shout!
The Jam: art and hand-made goods.
Did I mention the birds? I draw ‘em, I paint ‘em, I print ‘em. It’s something like an obsession. Other subjects inspire me too, really. My happy place is next to the wood stove, capturing a piece of Mother Nature with pen and ink, then squeegeeing away at my printing press, decorating lovely things with that little nugget of delight. I adore the wild things that also call the high desert home. If I’m lucky, my work will share that joy with others too. I’m proud to sell my work at retailers in Central Oregon. If your business could benefit from a little Farm and Finch charm, shoot me an email!
